Cantabile 3 Language Files
These language files change the language of Cantabile's user interface.
To use these, place the file for the required language in the same folder as Cantabile.exe (typically
C:Program FilesTopten SoftwareCantabile 3.0
and C:Program Files (x86)Topten SoftwareCantabile 3.0
)and set your Windows display language to the same language. You'll need to restart Cantabile aftermaking any changes.Note: these files are a mix of user contributed translations and machine translations. If you findmistakes, please feel free to edit the downloaded file in a text editor and send us the correction.
System Requirements
3500 Series:
- Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (Anniversary Update)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1
- Sound card with compatible ASIO driver or WASAPI drivers
3200 Series:
- Windows XP SP3 or later
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
- Recommended: Windows 7 or later
- Sound card with compatible ASIO driver or WASAPI drivers
If you're computer doesn't have the required .NET Framework installed Cantabile's setup program will automatically install it if there's an internet connection available. If not, you might need to manually install it - see the installation guide for how to do this.
The x64 editions require a 64-bit operating system, a 64-bit audio driver and 64-bit plugins. To use 32-bit plugins in Cantabile x64, see jBridge. The x86 edition of Cantabile will run on both x86 and x64 operating systems. Confused about 64 bit? See here.
Other than this, any system capable of running a supported operating system should run this version of Cantabile. Memory requirements and CPU requirements depend on the plugins you're using. Hard disk space requirement about 8Mb.
If your sound card didn't come with as ASIO driver, try ASIO4ALL for an excellent generic ASIO driver, or you can use Window's built in WASAPI drivers if you only require audio output (ie: no audio input/recording). WASAPI input support should be coming soon.
Mac OS-X Support
Cantabile only runs on the Windows platform but we're working on an OS-X version as part of Cantabile 3. See here for more information.
Version 2
Cantabile 2 is no longer recommended for use, but is included here for existing customers still using this product.

Version 1.x
Cantabile 1.x is not longer supported nor recommended. Also it's only available as an x86 build and licensing requirements for the full edition have been removed (ie: license no longer necessary).

SooperLooper is a live looping sampler capable of immediate loop recording, overdubbing, multiplying, reversing and more. It allows for multiple simultaneous multi-channel loops limited only by your computer's available memory.
The application is a standalone JACK client with an engine controllable via OSC and MIDI. It also includes a GUI which communicates with the engine via OSC (even over a network) for user-friendly control on a desktop. However, this kind of live performance looping tool is most effectively used via hardware (midi footpedals, etc) and the engine can be run standalone on a computer without a monitor.
Potato Loop Mac Os X
SooperLooper is currently supported on Linux and Mac OS X, and any other platforms that support JACK. The Mac OS X package is usable with at least the 0.6 release of JACK OS X. Note that for OS X Tiger, you'll need to get at least version 0.7 of JACK-OSX.
A Mac OS X Audio Unit version is included which does not require JACK to run.
If you want a solution for the Windows platform, please check out Mobius or you can try to build SooperLooper on Windows with Cygwin, see the README_Windows.md in the source distribution in v1.7.4 or above.
